Beautiful whippet x spaniel Molly came into our care due to a change in circumstances.
Molly is after a calm home with teenage children or over and one where there is no visiting young children. Sadly, this is due to past experiences where Molly has needed to display warning signals towards small children.
She is a very sweet natured and gentle girl, who loves to cuddle up or lean in next to you, often giving a paw to ask for more attention. She is slowly coming out of her shell and has started showing her more playful side, performing sudden bursts of zoomies around the field.
Molly came in with a history that she might be reactive around other dogs. Since being in our care we have found her to be nervous and worried around unfamiliar dogs, choosing to avoid them or show little interest the majority of the time. Molly has displayed low level reactions when walked by our team, but so far we have found this to only be in some situations, depending on the other dogs behaviour. However, she has displayed positive responses to calm, polite dogs when slowly introduced. Molly’s new owners should be willing to help her feel more confident when in the proximity of others dogs but should understand that Molly does not need to interact with dogs if she chooses not to.
Molly knows some basic cues, is toilet trained and can walk very nicely on a loose lead. She will make a great addition to a grown up family.
