Meet Bear, a 9 ½ year old long-haired German Shepherd.
Bear is a big boy but is gentle and affectionate with the people he is friends with. He can be a little unsure with people he doesn’t know but doesn’t take long for him to warm up to you.
X-rays have confirmed that Bear has very mild bilateral arthritis consistent with his age. He is also suffering with CDRM (Chronic Degenerative Radiculomyelopathy).
Bear requires long term pain relief and veterinary support, so needs an owner who recognises the degenerative nature of this condition and will continue to follow veterinary advice. Bear would like to find an owner who is willing to take him to Physiotherapy and/or Hydrotherapy.
Bear is looking for a quiet and calm retirement home to call his own; with new owners that can support him is his transition into the home environment.
