The Clinic is in operation to help people in receipt of benefits who are unable to afford private veterinary fees to ensure that their animals do not suffer.  Currently the minimum donation to see the vet is 10 (for each animal). If medication is also prescribed by the vet, you will be asked to make a donation towards the cost of the mediation too.  It costs the Branch in excess of 40,000.00 to run the Clinic every year.

We require to see proof of your benefit every time you visit the Clinic.

THE RSPCA SUFFOLK EAST and IPSWICH BRANCH ANIMAL CLINIC
35A ST. GEORGES STREET, IPSWICH, IP1 3NF

Tel:    01473 231972 (this line is only answered when the Clinic is open, see opposite)

Sue Tyler is our Clinic Manager.   You can email Sue (for non emergencies) on rspcaclinicmanagertyler@gmail.com

Outside of Clinic opening hours PLEASE contact our Animal Centre between 9am to 4.30pm on 0300 999 7321 or email martlesham.rspca@btconnect.com

Please Note - we are unable to take card payments

If you are a Clinic Client and require repeat medication, we DO NEED a week's notice to organise your animal's prescription.

Unfortunately, there is no parking at the Clinic and St. Georges Street is largely a parking permit zone so best to park in a nearby car park, such as ones near Crown Pools, and walk.  It is only a few minutes walk.

We are delighted to advise that we are currently able to offer vaccinations to unvaccinated cats and dogs up to the age of 14 months old at the Clinic. Please contact the clinic during opening hours or contact Sue Tyler via email rspcaclinicmanagertyler@gmail.com to make an appointment.

The RSPCA Suffolk East and Ipswich Branch Welfare Clinic are currently running a male and female cat neutering (free microchip included) scheme for members of public in receipt of benefits within our branch area. If you are interested all we ask is that you bring along your cat (from approx. 4 months of age onwards), proof of benefits and 10 towards the cost within the clinic opening times. Once registered you will be given details of what to do next.

As you can imagine the Clinic is a very busy place to work ! There are several dedicated volunteers who willingly give their time and energy to help these animals which might otherwise suffer.   Over 2,000 animals of all shapes and sizes, makes and breeds are treated here each year!

If you would like to make a donation PLEASE send it to the address at the top of the page, for the attention of Ms Sue Tyler c/o of the Clinic; address above. However small, your help would be very much appreciated and will help keep the Clinic running.

The Clinic is open to the public as follows:-

Tuesday 12 noon - 1pm
Friday 12 noon - 1pm

Phones answered on the above days between 11.30am and 1.30pm

There is a Vet in attendance during opening hours
